“New” entrances/exits procedures: Car riders will now enter on Palm Beach Road, bus riders will load and unload at the front of the school on East 10th Street and parent parking will take place at the parking lot on Palm Beach Road. Also, if a parent wants to walk their child to class, they must first drop the child at the car rider drop-off, park the car and walk to the school entrance. Students may not be in any parking areas after 7:30 a.m. and before 1:30 p.m. Thank you for your support in keeping all of our students, staff and families safe.
*** 2008 - 2009 SCHOOL YEAR - STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO WEAR A BELT (BLACK, BROWN, WHITE OR NAVY) WITH ALL PANTS/SHORTS/SKIRTS AND SHIRTS MUST BE TUCKED IN AT ALL TIMES.
Mandatory Dress Code was implemented during the 2000-2001 school year and is mandatory for all students. Dress code for J. D. Parker School of Science, Math and Technology:
· Pants, shorts, skirts or jumpers in black, navy, khaki or white.
· Shorts, skirts and jumpers may be no shorter than mid-thigh.
· Blue denim (plain jeans, no designs, patches, embroidery, etc.) is allowed any day of the week. **Overalls are not permitted.
· Collared shirts, with no logo or designs, in yellow, white, and navy may be worn any day of the week.
· Collared shirts with the Parker logo may be purchased in the front office($10.00).
· Spirit shirts must be worn on all field trips. Spirit shirts may be purchased in the front office($5.00).
· Spirit Shirts may be worn on Friday, or last day of the week ONLY.
· Outerwear for colder weather can be yellow, white, khaki, black or navy (no plaid shirts).
· Outerwear may not be oversized or excessively baggy.
· Closed-toe shoes must be worn (No sandals, flip-flops or open back shoes will be allowed).
The school colors for our Theme School are navy and white with yellow accents. School Spirit shirts are navy T- shirts with the school slogan and logo on them. Fifth grade students have a special white, or navy 5th grade T-shirt with the school slogan and logo on it.
White, navy and yellow polo shirts with the school name and logo are available at school for $10.00(student size) and $12.00 (adult size). Spirit shirts are available at school for $5.00 (student size) and $6.00 (adult size).
