Parent-Teacher Organization

Cooperation: A Key to Open All Doors

The Parent-Teacher Organization’s mission is to work together as a community to ensure our school will be successful.  We strongly invite and encourage all parents and guardians to donate a few hours of your time to the different programs at the school.  This will not only be beneficial for the school, but for all our children, too.  In addition, it will give teachers more time to focus on classroom instruction.  Please come by the front office or talk to your child’s teacher to find out how you can help.

Collections

The PTO currently collects and/or recycles items that otherwise would be refuse. Among them are the following:

Printer cartridges - These are collected by Mrs. Ferreira, 4th grade teacher.  There is a box in the front office where parents, teachers and students can deposit these items.

Box Tops for Education - Many cereal boxes have a little tab on the top called Box Tops for Education. Please gather these as they represent income for the school. The collection bin is located in the front office.

Campbell Soup Labels - Many products have Labels for Education on them.  Please collect the labels or UPC Codes and deposit them in the collection bin in the front office.

Soda Pop Tabs - This year the Science & Technology Committee has decided to support the Ronald McDonald House by collecting soda pop tabs. The Ronald McDonald House began in 1974 by providing a "home away from home" for families of seriously ill children receiving treatment at nearby hospitals. Since that time, more than 10 million families around the world have benefited from the comfort provided by a Ronald McDonald House. Please send these tabs into school with your child.
